Our editorial selection brings together different kinds of Guizhou experiences. Choose by your interests and travel time; combine nearby destinations rather than trying to visit all ten in one short trip.

1. Huangguoshu Waterfall

Make the Huangguoshu area a priority if waterfalls are your main reason to visit Guizhou. The main waterfall, Doupotang and Tianxingqiao give the day different scenery. Plan the walking sections and attraction transport together, with time for mist, photography and rest.

2. Libo Xiaoqikong

Choose Xiaoqikong for river scenery, stone bridges and greenery. Libo Karst is a component of the UNESCO-listed South China Karst property. Rather than stop at every viewpoint, select a walking route that suits your party and keep the onward drive to Xijiang in mind.

3. Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village

Xijiang is a useful starting point for travellers interested in Miao village architecture and hillside views. An overnight stay lets you see both daytime activity and evening lights. Ask before photographing residents, and discuss luggage access and steps when choosing a guesthouse.

4. Zhenyuan Ancient Town

Zhenyuan combines an old-town setting with the Wuyang River. It offers a different rhythm from a mountain excursion: riverside walks, town streets and an evening stay. Pair it thoughtfully with the eastern Guizhou part of your trip rather than adding it to a packed Guiyang day.

5. Fanjing Mountain · Fanjingshan

Fanjingshan is a UNESCO World Heritage site in Guizhou’s Wuling mountain range. Choose it for mountain landscapes and a more active excursion. Discuss steps, cable-car arrangements, reservations and weather before committing to the day; leave breathing room around the mountain visit.

6. Wanfenglin, Xingyi

Wanfenglin is a destination for karst peaks and rural scenery around Xingyi. It suits a landscape-focused route, especially when you want a different setting from waterfalls and villages. Yijin’s Guipin Wanfenglin itinerary includes this area; a cycling request should be discussed separately.

7. Maling River Gorge

Maling River Gorge offers a canyon setting in the Xingyi travel area. Consider it together with Wanfenglin, then compare walking demands with the rest of your journey. Use the confirmed daily plan to decide how much sightseeing to include before a longer transfer.

8. Qingyan Ancient Town

Qingyan is an ancient-town option in Guiyang’s Huaxi district. It can work as a city-area outing or as part of a departure-day plan when your flight or train timing allows. Walking through lanes and choosing local food stops can be enough for a rewarding visit.

9. Zhijin Cave

Zhijin Cave adds underground scenery to a Guizhou shortlist. It is a separate travel choice rather than a default stop on Yijin’s published seven-product collection. If caves are a priority, ask for a tailored route with the driving time, steps and accommodation considered together.

10. Zhaoxing Dong Village

Zhaoxing is a Dong village in southeastern Guizhou. It is an alternative cultural direction for visitors exploring China’s ethnic cultures beyond a single Miao village. Discuss a dedicated regional route, local customs and respectful photography; do not assume it is included in a Xijiang product.
