Plan a Huangguoshu day, not just a photograph
Huangguoshu is a waterfall destination in the Anshun area of Guizhou. Think of the visit as a sequence of landscapes: Doupotang, Tianxingqiao and the main waterfall. Discuss the sequence, walking and transfer arrangements before departure, especially when the day also includes onward travel to Libo or Duyun.
Getting there from Guiyang
Guiyang is the starting city for Yijin’s published Huangguoshu itineraries. A direct road transfer can connect your hotel to the attraction area. If travelling independently by train or intercity transport, plan the final connection to the attraction as well; arriving in Anshun does not complete the whole journey.
Three areas to discuss with your trip contact
Doupotang adds another waterfall viewpoint. Tianxingqiao combines paths, water and rock scenery; the chosen section affects the walking time. The main waterfall is the central stop. Keep time for rest rather than assuming every path, viewpoint and cave can be covered in the same visit.
Water Curtain Cave and changing conditions
Water Curtain Cave is associated with the main waterfall, but access depends on opening and reservation arrangements. Use the attraction’s current notice for your date and confirm the applicable booking procedure with your trip contact. High water, weather or visitor controls can change the route. Seeing the main waterfall and entering the cave are separate questions.
Prepare for walking, mist and photographs
Bring shoes with good grip, rain protection and a way to protect phones or cameras from spray. Choose a comfortable walking plan with your companions. For children or travellers using mobility aids, ask about steps, shuttle points and rest locations in the selected route rather than relying on a general accessibility claim.
Fit Huangguoshu into a four-, five- or six-day trip
Compare Chengxin Wuyou for a four-day Huangguoshu–Xiaoqikong–Xijiang direction, Chengxin Qianxing for a five-day version with Qingyan, and Chengxin Fanxing for six days including Zhenyuan and Fanjing Mountain. For Wanfenglin and Maling River Gorge, look at Guipin Wanfenglin. Choose the wider route by your remaining days, not only by the waterfall visit.
What to confirm for your departure date
Confirm attraction admission, internal transport, the selected Tianxingqiao section, cave arrangements, hotel pickup and your onward destination.
